Since that the Sulongsons are Eurasians, they have incorpated many Malay and European traditions into their daily lives, and some of them are listed below.
General

Always point at a person with your thumb.

A man should give way to a lady first.

Never toss an object across your room - instead pass the object over by hand to the person you're planning to give it to.

Never show the soles of your feet at someone.

Your feet must be off the table at all times.

If you wish to speak to a person from the other corner of the room, please do not shout across the room - instead approach them in person and then you can talk to them.

When attending a meeting or a social gathering, a man should not sit down when a lady is present in the room standing.

A younger person should offer the older person a seat first.
Dining
- Cover your mouth when you're toothpicking.
- Always use your right hand to eat and pass dishes around.
- If you're dining with a group of people, you must wait for the host of the table to permit everyone to eat before you can start eating.
- Try to eat as silently as you can.
- Place a napkin on your lap while eating - if you're away from the table, please place it on your chair to indicate you're still using the chair.
- After you finish eating, place your napkin on the table.
Gifts
- Not opening up gifts in front of others.
Entering a building
- Remove your footwear whenever you enter a building, particularly a house and a place of worship.
