Main Characters

 21st Century


Christopher "Chris" Sulongson: a very handsome, talkative and caring schoolboy who is the narrator in the trilogy. He has light brown hair and blue eyes. He speaks four languages, namely: English, Malay, Italian and German. He has a tiny bit of Malay and mostly mixed European ancestries.

Oliver Owain: one of Chris's friends, who has one main thing in common with him - Malay ancestry. Oliver is a Eurasian boy with dark hair and green eyes, who is usually patient and he prefers reasoning over fist fights. He aims to be a successful businessman like his dad some day.

Brad McGregor: another friend of Chris. He is friendly but he can be a sharp-tongue speaker, of which this was used to constantly fight with Ash.


Ashton "Ash" O'Donnell: A dark headed Aussie boy with grey eyes of Irish & English ancestry. He is the only person that doesn’t fight with Chris for some reason. He is a Maths freak and a loner by nature.

Jimmy Prickman: a very gorgeous boy like Chris, but instead, he is the biggest bully in school. This blond boy also happens to be one of the wealthiest students.



Edward "Ed" Hassling: his skinhead assistant and devout follower. He likes to gain attention from others.



Cinderella "Cindy" Sulongson: Chris’s younger sister, who tends to be more creative and more talkative than her brother. She talks on the phone for about two hours at times, and she enjoys shopping. She also likes to tease her older brother.

Cynthia Pierre-Smith: she is Jakob's sister and she goes to the same school as Cindy, which is Kambelle Girls.  


Mr. Joseph Sulongson: he is Chris’ lawyer father and he has reddish-blonde hair and blue eyes. Like Chris, he is friendly, caring, and tries to speak for others when he can. He can be funny at times and he often likes to tease his wife.


Mrs. Angela Schmidt-Sulongson: a beautiful journalist with dark blond hair. She's a good wife and mother, a keen gardener as much as she loves cooking. She likes to use psychology to deal with her two children.


19th century


Megat Sulong / Liam O'Donnell: an Irish boy raised by a "Malay" couple since he was four years old.   


Ned Gallagher / O'Donnell: he was Megat's twin brother and they were separated since they were four years old.


Demang Sulong: the only son of the Sulong family. He had dark hair and green eyes. Unlike Megat, he tend to be a calmer person and did not rash his actions.


Daniel Harold: he was Jane's slightly older brother and he was the son of Sir James Hastings, a Townsville mayor. He was a straightforward person, but sometimes able to find answers by reading between the lines.


Abraham O'Bannon: he was an upper class American cowboy Daniel's best friend and they've known each other since their childhood. He lived with his wealthy brothers, who worked with Daniel's father.


Melor Mamat: the daughter of a martial arts master.  She was a quick learner and had many hidden talents.


Jane Harold / Hastings: a beautiful young English lady who was an intellectual and flirtatious.


Malcolm & Mary O'Donnell: an Irish couple who owned a farm, and the biological parents to Ned and Liam.


Pak Sulong (Sulong Yildiz) & Mak Limah (Limah Perak): a 'Malay' couple and parents to Demang and Megat. They were also the leaders of their community. 


Superintendent Padraig Gallagher: a Superintendant who fights for justice and raised Ned as his own son, training him to be a fighter.


Lady Elizabeth Hastings / Mountbatten: the wife of the late Sir Arthur Hastings, who cared about the welfare of her people and since that she herself was an intellect, she conducted classes to give a chance for children and illiterate to have better education.


Ah Chong: a Chinese laundryman and a close friend of the Sulongs.


Tok Guru: a martial arts expert and father of Melor.
